hey guys, my old magnovox laptop has a small problem. the LCD doesn't work right. the screen is blank. the backlight works and theres video on the external port. the cable looks alright and the machine still boots dos. the screen is not cracked or broken. it using a cirrus logig chipset. any ideas?

Look for a button with a "monitor" or a "CRT/LCD" button. Press that, and watch for changes.

not happens, the back light just turns of and the external monitor get video. Its most likely a faulty LCD but i could be wrong.
