I am so sick and tired of these pathetic things that can't take any abuse. My HP laptop's modem just died, seemingly because a call came in as it was trying to talk to our ISP. It might fix itself in a few days, but by then we'll have the lazy people here to install satellite internet.

In the mean time, I'm going to try to get my dial-up router (Freesco) going again. It's been not connecting for some reason, and I'd like to know why. (It could be a dead modem... AGAIN.)

Anyone familiar enough with the later versions of Freesco to tell me if it does actually log errors connecting? The version I'm running now is from about 2004, and I can't get it to tell me anything besides it's attempting to connect. (I'm working on updating, but it'll take some time... Kinda hard to change BIOS settings in a box without a monitor.)

No clue. Confused

Your area doesn't have fiber/cable/dsl?
