I've just bought one of these for my IBM Portable PC, however I am in **URGENT**need of the drivers, which include:

o INBRDPC.SYS provides features to let you get the
most from the Inboard 386/PC, such as extended
memory, changing speed with control keys, and
faster system and screen performance. ** This is the file that I need the most **

o ISTATPC.EXE displays the status of the
INBRDPC.SYS settings.

o ICACHE.COM stores data from the computer's hard
disk in Inboard 386/PC memory so disk reads are
faster.

o ILIM386.SYS turns extended memory into expanded
memory.

o ILIM386.COM displays the status of all the
memory in the computer, including on Inboard
386/PC.

o ISPEEDPC.EXE changes speed from the DOS prompt
or from a batch file.

o CHKCOP.EXE verifies that the optional 80387 math
coprocessor is installed correctly.

Does anyone have the original disks or at least the above files?

I have since found the drivers and have added a TI SXL-40 CPU which is an 80486 with a 80386SX pinout.

This gives me an 80486 Ibm Portable PC. I am yet to run SI etc for some benchmarks.

I also hear that there was a clock doubling IBM CPU with 386SX pinouts, however information is very scarce. My TI CPU also has an 8K cache which I need software to enable and have yet to find.

I can highly recommend the Intel Inboard, however they are not cheap!

I also have the Inboard 386/PC, though it's been years since I used it and I never bothered with the software. There are guys over on vintage-computer.com that have the files. I think somebody put them up on FTP.

The ti486SXL is a good choice. You'll get a very large performance boost once you enable the cache. Also, I should have you know that although it is not advertised this CPU also has an internal clock doubling circuit. I'm running my ti486SXL in my IBM 5170 under this configuration. The register software that you want is the one designed for the Cyrix DRx2 CPU.

Getting the clock doubling going on the TI486SXL requires a trick though, and I'll let you know what it is once you get the cache working properly. Have a look at this thread:
