i am sure someonwe has something to say regarding older computers.

i hav asn old at style tower that has been in the garage
with the door open
for two years
must get the overhead door replaces
anyone have a spare $1200.00 ?
last summer 2014 a bird built a nest in the missing blank off plate for the cd.

this year i took out the nest
now the bvirds are down south
will bring it in to try it out.
i have a st-225 in my drawer as well as many ide drives.
many well below the 512 limit.

I tyried the vintage forum and othert forums using that software
I could never find my way back to read masseages.

I am now 80 and the VA has me listed as "catastophic"
whatever that means
anyway all is now free.

I am still messimg with that mb that does not seem to like the promise controller.
but it usually works.

I bought a ide /sata promise card a maxtor and the promise dfrivers will work.
with the older ata133 tx2 cards I flashed the promise bios on maxtor cards.
sadly they only come as ide cards.
and older pc';s that have pci slots also need a separate power connnestor so the pci part works.

The VA supplies EZsee large letter keyboard are all ps2. and this my refuses to accept the kb part of the time
it is either a cmos virus
and also the nybv virus causes this.
I wish I could find a modern anto virus program on a bootable cd to check everything.
