I think the first thing is, can you get usb to work on an xt?
if so go to ebay.
search
advanced search
type the mane of what you are looking for
like cd card reader
scroll down to ending in 24 hours
and scroll down to price lowest fitst
go down and hit search
and buy things from hong kong really cheap. shipping is often free
the darn guys forget to put on stamps
and it comes in a week
when you look for something else
just change the item name at the top
sometimes ebay rubber bands back to another thing like highest first. |

These are NOT usb floppy drives!
These devices connect to a standard Shugart 34 pin FDC and give you either floppies emulated on CF cards or on a USB flash drive i.e. they contain a USB host interface so that a computer is not required to act as the emulated FDD. |
