I am pretty sure you need a Tandy keyboard. I know on my programable Northgate keyboards they have seperate jumper settings for Tandy, AT, XT. Tandy computers were known for swapping wires or connectors on standard ports to make sure you purchased their stuff instead of clones (serial, printer, floppy drives, keyboards, etc).

The adapter should be ok, but I would double check before you try it.
