refurb may be a misnomer., I did not take things apart and paint them
I first wanted a pc to test 72 pin ram
a 486 will work with one stick. a pentium requires two.
the chips in this system are accessible.
this is a compact unit with everything on the motherboard.
after searching and basically finding nothing
I first fould a site talking aboth angina ?? mb and also intel and micronics.
apparently mine is an intel mb.
somehow in the last few weels the ide contror
failred. I was able to get an old maxtor card doing the job.. I upgraded the cpu and someone sent me jumper settings and I changed the clock from 25 to 33. so instead of 35 than 48, it now runs at 66.
ram is limited to 32m.( 2 slots) and drives to 528,
I have an eide max from promise but no manual.
I cannot make it work.
but I am waiting for the manual.
I do not think there are other enhanced
( isa) controllers
I am told the origina;l ide port will HANG if a cd drive si attached.
like pulling nails with bare hands. but it is working.
If you have one of these I have the docs for the intel mb.
