I couldn't get any floppy to work because when i put in the floppy drive controller the system dosen't want to start. I tried all kinds of controller from hdd/fdd controllers to scsi card and still have the problem. Right now I dug out an 8bit high density controller with its own bios and i hope that will work. All I just have4 to do with this machine is to get in the bios and set it to its factory settings and that should work but has proved quite challenging. Sad

YES! I droped in an AMD 386 cpu and the machine started ok. I was able to access the bios and reset everything. also when i changed the cpu the little "white dots" i see on the screen where the text is is gone! The wierd noises from the floppy drives is also gone. could it just have been a bad cpu? I now have to find an intel 386 at 33mhz to replace it. My only problem now is that I can only read highdensity disk and not lowdensity ones. Anyone have any ideas?

---------------edit-------------------
The floppy controller had an lgs chip on there and that for some wierd reason would not read lowdesity disk. this system is just about fixed, now it time to hook up the harddrives! Very Happy
