Yesterday I was at the local computer super store buying a pack floppy disk when I walked by some WindowsVista computers. Just to see how the sales person would react, I opened up the DOS promt and typed in command.com /c ver ,this will make it say MS-DOS 5.00 (win2k-vista). I then walked away to see how much an AT-ps2 keyboard adapter would cost and when I got back I saw 5 people trying to figure out what to do. They looked scarced when they tried to click on the X and nothing happend. I was lauging inside so hard that I feel over. These are the dumbest people ever. If there gona sell me a computer Id expect them to know more about computers that just cliking a few icons. next time your in a big fancy computers store, Open up the dos prompt and type command.com /c ver |

For some odd reason, none of these vista machines will allow me to. However I got vista to full screen using an old cirrus logic pci card. |

Try [ALT]+[ENTER] to go for full screen mode. |

I don't expect the salesguy at the car lot to know how fuel injection actualy works, why would I expect somebody at bestbuy to know the inner workings of an OS to that detail? We never paid the people with the expert knowledge of those fields enough to take the sales jobs, plus most people don't need to know any of that to use the product.
Every profession has people that look down on others because others don't know some trivial thing about something. |

The embedded dos shell in NT is independant of the true MS-DOS command prompt it supports commands unheard of in real dos. It also has its own version numbering |
