a couple of mopnths ago I searched without sucess for drivers for a hp pc 700 mhz,.
ater shaming? hp I finally got links and-l the drivers.
I noted the links wexpired.
yesterday I was given a hp 500 ( pavillion/presariuo whatever- don't know) 1.6g system
the orig lables are on it but only "5000"{ no name
the4 label serial and the bios/setup serial match.
but hp support tells me it is "Not IN THEIR DATABASE" guess it's a figment of my imagination.
We ran into this before a Kitechenaid '55 diswasher that didn';t exist, got parts byb comparing dealers stioclk
a heating system Bell & Gossett pump that did not exist coukld not buy the repair kit.
when the replacement pump was brought out it was the same ": non-existant" model we had!
I told the dealer it must be FREE as it did not exist, we thgen got the right repair kit. ( 99% of hot water circulating pumps are the same branb)
next I try radio shack in bethlehem they helped me before.. |

I was asked to get belarc advisor, it is sort of like aida.everest and other diagnostics that report on the contents of a pc.
sent it to HP/Compaq.
seems the 1.6g cpu is running slower than a 486-40 according to a dos version of aida. (1.54) newer ver. do not have diagnostics.
Possibly when 2-3 years ago the cpu fan came off and the cpu ran slow for a week or so Before I was told and corrected it, the cpu might have been damaged. think so? |
