Thanks again for your help. You always seem to hit the nail on the head.
Were these particularly good, or bad, drives? For some reason I think that Maxtor products were better made in the late 80's through mid 90's than more recently.
Anyway, I will look for the controller you suggested as I would like to see what is on this drive. I've put together quite a collection of old software (commercial and shareware), plus old GIF/JPG images (G rated and otherwise) and other interesting stuff from files left behind on creaky old drives.  |
