a friend give me retired computer items
i was given a hp 3200c scanner
d/l the40 meg driver and
searched around for a db 25 m-f cable and a 12 v wall wart.
hooked it up is scans just fine
except in the window it is all black!.
light comes on thing moves properly
could the sensor be dead or could my " just from anywhewere" cable be the wrong kind
myparallel post is set ae ep. not standard.
any thoughts?
i have a stack of sick and dead scanners here. |

Have you tried to put a white piece of paper on the scanner bed? Perhaps that would work properly. |

I put in a paper covered cd square label 5 x 5 with bold printing
all black. |
