If you live in the seattle area, i might recommend REPC. That's where i get ALL of my old crap, i'm also in cahoots with the OLD CRAP department head. They even have an E-Bay Store

Check the phone book under recycling. Some computer recyclers have small stores where they resell some of what they get. Also check craigslist for people who sell large amounts of computer equipment, they tend to get tons of stuff in for trade and refurb what they can and ditch or freecycle the rest.
One thing that works sometimes is to put a "wanted old computers" on freecycle and see what comes up.
One of these days I will try to find out who does the selections for the local goodwills and see what they do with all the "trash" computers people drop off. |
