When I get a bad HD I keep the circuit board for parts and toss the drive itself. I have seen plenty of 45NS DRAM on drives used for cache. |

The were the the kind with the bent under legs most of the upgradable cards with sockets used.
Mac VRAM SIMMs were great for VRAM (once you pulled the chips off the SIMM). |

If the pins are bent under and fit into sockets, that sounds like SOJ memory. I really hate SOJ memory because the sockets are impossible to solder/desolder. |
