Is that a PCI board with 1 VLB slot (if so I have one of them, shitty and no cache)? |

yep, pci, one vlb, no cache, yep that's the one. thing is, it's the only 486 board i have that's lasted through the years, and been usable on demand for whatever i want to test with it and NOT be flaky. and it's the only board that will let me run my dx33 at 80 with the least amount of bitching. |

it was more of a fluke really, i didn't realize i had my 33 on there and set it for the 80 jumpers and it came up as 80, got VERY VERY hot, even with a heatsink. That chip is now nicely packed in foam and put in a little box. It gets treated with great respect... |

Well you should be able to dig up some 486 gear on ebay or if you are lucky on the local freecycle. |

i've tried the free cycle here in seattle, it's not that good for computer parts, besides, i've got a contact at the local RE-PC that hooks me up with some of the best deals on old parts, if i need something, he usually has it and will remove it from their e-bay store if i need him too. really good service. he's actually how i got the m919 in the first place, he said it didn't work and i plugged it in and it came up. 128mb ram and all. |
