You have to remember that because the memory cards you are using run on the ISA bus they're going to be farting along at 8MHz, acting as a bottleneck to the CPU. I highly doubt the 60ns DIPs will make any difference at all, because the 8MHz bus won't benefit from anything faster than 120ns RAMs.
1/frequency = period
->1/8x10^6 = 125ns (assuming 0 wait states) |

Your right, forgot about that one, my may just pull the chips off it and slap them on my everex board, along side a bank of 80ns ones, and max out my XT onboard memory so i can get rid of that expansion board, or figure out how to get it to do ems, because i've got an old serial parallel clock calendar board...
Also do any of you know how to set up a CSC AK47 Vesa Fastcache
I'd love to get this working because i can have 4 floppies and scsi on the same board which would save slots for a test bed i'd like to build |

The drivers are still available on their website. Other than that, I have no idea. I sure would like one though... |

Oh, okay. I'm really looking for a caching SCSI controller with 30pin SIMM slots. Let me know if you ever see one and/or have some spares. |

The caching SCSI VLB controllers are far less common than the IDE models. The odds are against me that it's IDE, but I do appreciate you checking for me. |

Talked to my buddies at both re-pc stores, they will look for me, for both the caching IDE and SCSI ones, they think they MAY have one or two layin around. I am also trying to find the RapidCAD Twins or a Cyrix 486 that fit into a 386 socket.
I also got an IBM 4869-002 External Floppy drive today. The guy said he had no idea what the plug was for so sold it to me for a dollar, cleaned it up, and it works nicely, 1.2mb AND 360 modes.. |
